2008 awards
Jerome Ceramic Artist Project Grant
I am pleased to announce that I have been awarded the Jerome Foundation Ceramic Artist Project Grant for 2008. The grant is administered by the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis.
I will be conducting glaze research during the grant period and
will present the work completed at an exhibition in January 2009 at Northern Clay Center.
Best Presentation
I received the "Best Presentation" award at the Columbus
Art Festival in June in Columbus Ohio. This was a wonderful
event for us. It was our first year at the festival and we had
an incredible response to my work, nearly selling out.
Columbus is also the home of my son and his family, who helped
us with the event. We were able to take some extra time to
spend with them and our precious granddaughter, Lauren.
Second Place, Ceramics
In February, I received the "Second Place" award in Ceramics at the
Coconut Grove Art Festival in Florida.
